The State Transportation Agency says Kansas hit a 10-year high for deer related crashes last year. Danielle Norwood has more.

The deer population has been increasing since then. Three people died in deer-related accidents last year. Franklin County reported 128 last year, with 8 injuries. The county saw 53 such accidents in October of this year. Surrounding counties include Anderson County with 111, Miami County with 235, including one death, Douglas County with 288, and Osage County with 103 which includes one death. The Kansas Parks and Wildlife Department says today, November 13th, is the peak day for accidents involving deer.
