Earlier in the week, we learned that the Kansas State High School Activities Association had officially approved grils wrestling program has had many girls over the years, micing right in with the boys. So, why is it important to have a separate girls team? Ottawa High principal Kelly Whitaker has the answer.
The girls state meet would be held the Friday before the boys meet in Salina. The Ottawa School Board is expected to approve the girls wrestling program at it’s next meeting.
