One Garnett man is not happy with the way the City of Garnett is treating him in regard to several issues involving his yard, and he let the Garnett City Commission know it at this week’s meeting. It all seems to be related to his fence line and who is supposed to maintain a couple of inches up against his neighbor’s property. David Discuss claims his neighbors have maintained it for years. In a long, drawn out conversation from birds, to damaged mowers, to weed eating and mowing, they finally got back to the initial issue of mowing along the fence line. In the end, City Manager Chris Weiner says the city has setbacks for fences for a reason.
Discuss did say that he is considering a lawsuit against the city about the issues and to recover what he says includes tens of thousands of dollars spent on his yard.
