If the United States gets a major trade deal as promised by China with purchase quantities nearly double what they have purchased before, farmers would be incredibly happy. AG Secretary Sonny Perdue says while government payments have been welcome, ultimately that is not what farmers want.
He adds that framers definitely do not want to rely on the MFP payments long term.
