Burglaries and property thefts, after seeing a slowdown the past year are starting to increase again in the Ottawa area. Police Chief Adam Weingartner says there is a simple solution to reducing the number of crimes.
He adds that more and more people are calling in suspicious activity, and he believes having a patrol car cruise the area wards off many potential crimes. He encourages people to continue to call in any suspicious activity as soon as you see it happen, and lock your car!
