One well-known employee of the City of Ottawa got an honor during the regular city commission meeting. Mayor Blake Jorgensen paid tribute to City Manager Richard Nienstedt for 40 years of service.
Other employees honored were Layman Miller for 35 years of service, Ed Thompson for 20 years, Ray Hamilton and Stuart Wolzen with 15 years each, and Joshua Pence for 10 years service.
