New developments in Ottawa may be in for some new regulations in cases where a cul de sac installed at the end of a dead end street. It seems some cul de sacs are too small for fire trucks to turn around in. Ottawa planner Sarah Anzicek says the current minimum requirement is 70 feet, she discussed the situation with fire department officials and the Ottawa planning commission.
The commission is expected to continue further discussions at future meetings.
