It probably won’t happen anytime soon, but at some point the Ottawa school district may need to raise the mill levy to meet budget needs. School Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs, says the current rate is 30%.
Cobbs says raising the local Ottawa budget to 33% is all part of the court battles over what makes up equity in school financing. In other school news, the school board approved adding girls wrestling to the Ottawa High School Athletic program.
