The Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce 49th Annual Christmas Parade on Friday will host a very special guest. Miss Kansas Elizabeth Holsworth will grace the community. She is a 2016 graduate from Kansas State University with a degree in apparel marketing. Her platform is mental health awareness and she has spent her year so far working with local organizations to raise awareness and help end the stigma surrounding mental health. She is also an advocate for empowering young women. The annual Christmas Parade will be held Saturday evening in downtown Garnett. This years theme is “I’ll be Mahomes for Christmas.” Be sure to come to the parade and meet Miss Kansas Saturday night.
