With last year’s sales down nearly $11 billion less than the year before, the new forecast went up, particularly to China. Even without a trade agreement with them, USDA’s Chief Economist Rob Johanson says there will be a boost in AG sales to China this year.
The better forecast is not based on an end to tariffs, but rather on things as they were when the forecast was made.
