The Main Street Association in conjunction with the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce submitted it’s plan for economic development to city commissioners last week and generally, it was well received by commissioners. Shawn Turner says of Turner Flowers says the board is ready to go.
Turner added that the association would like to improve on several different things, including reviving the Ottawa Christmas parade to make it bigger and better, similar to parades from decades past. Monday the city commission postponed approval of a new funding agreement with Main Street until it’s December 18th meeting so some details can be clarified.
