The economic climate data is in for the city of Paola. The U.S. Census Bureau reports that the population in Paola has gone up by 572 people since 2010 to 5,583, of those people over 5,000 have access to health insurance in some way.

Paola residents enjoy an average household income of nearly $47,000 with nearly 58% of residents working outside the city, community about 23 minutes to work.

Nearly 1,400 have attended college with over 900 graduating with a degree of some kind.

This brings up the importance of census data. According to city officials, an undercount in Paola means the community could miss out on close to $48,000 in Federal funding for every household that is missed in the 2020 census. They encourage you to make your household count by completing the census questionnaire online, by phone or by email. Those should be available soon.
