It seems that many companies are desperately looking for workers, but the workers don’t have the skills needed for the job. Ryan Henningsen is a financial advisor with Edward Jones and he was the special speaker at the First Friday Forum. He says his work with the Franklin County Development Council has revealed many things.
The Ottawa School District, along with others, is working to train students in needed job skills. School superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs says he plans to hold a conference with at least a dozen other school districts early next year to lay down plans from extensive student job skills training.
