Some time ago, the City of Ottawa found it had a shortfall of over two million dollars due to an accounting mistake and since then, the city has tightened its belt to make up for the problem. City Manager Richard Nienstedt says the cash balances are looking much better.
Nienstedt was reporting to the city commission during its regular study session.
