The Ottawa School Board has approved raising the Local Option Budget Spending Authority from 30% to 33%. School superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs says taxes used for education comes from a lot of different areas.
Cobbs says at this point, he has no intention of asking the board to raise the Mill Levy, but the action does give some flexibility if circumstances make it necessary.
