As part of school redesign at Ottawa High School. Both students and teachers have seen some major changes this year. OHS principal Kelly Whitaker says an advisory period and the open-ended cyclone hour have led to positive changes at the school.
She added that she is anxious to see some of the data at the end of the semester as far as grades go. One of the goals was to reduce failing grades and she says it was very apparent after the first grading period that those numbers had dropped significantly.
