As news of the new Walmart Distribution Center in Topeka broke yesterday. People in this area began to wonder how it may affect the Walmart DC here in Ottawa. Franklin County Development Council Director Paul Bean says, the Topeka location will be used primarily for Walmart’s E-commerce. He says the new facility may possibly benefit our ability to attract businesses to Proximity Park.
He added that Proximity Park is getting very close to shovel ready and he anticipated Proximity Park to be ready for building by late spring.
