Franklin County Public Works crews have been working nonstop on County Roads since the snow began falling on Sunday. Some areas of the county received up to 9 inches of snow, making many roads dangerous and impassable. As crews worked yesterday to get the road safe, one road in particular was a problem. A trash truck and another small car slid sideways and partially into the ditch. Crews were having trouble yesterday afternoon getting the truck back on the roadway. The area in question in on a hill and because of the danger it poses to motorists, Public Works has decided to close the 2300 to 2700 blocks of Idaho Road until further notice. They are hoping for some sunshine and warmer temperatures and say the road will be reopened as soon as possible.
