Last week’s announcement of a new Walmart Distribution plant in Topeka got people wondering about the DC here. The new plant in Topeka will be used primarily for the Walmart’s E-commerce branch that is growing quickly and shouldn’t have an effect on the Ottawa facility. Franklin County Development Director Paul Bean says, it places emphasis on our area as a logistics leader and may help attract new business to our area, including Proximity Park. But, how close to ready is Proximity Park. Very close, according to Bean.
Proximity Park is located South East of Ottawa and will offer building sites for businesses looking to relocate to a more strategic point in the midwest.
