With the big push in high schools to build students’ work skills and get them ready for the work force when they graduate, Anderson County High School is no different. The school offers several career classes for students to learn a trade while they are in high school. USD 365 Superintendent Don Blome says some programs are very popular.

He indicated that the school will be bringing some students to Ottawa next semester for classes being offered an Neosho County Community College. USD 365 officials have also been invited to a meeting January 7 of area principals and superintendents to discuss how local schools can develop skills needed for businesses that may be coming into Proximity Park in Ottawa.
