A couple weeks ago, the Osawatomie Pizza Hut closed and has remained closed since. Many people have been wondering why it closed and if there were plans to reopen. According to the Miami County Republic, the general manager of Pizza Hut in Osawatomie says the restaurant plans to reopen after the first of the year.

General Manager Sally Coker says some pressing repairs and equipment maintenance or replacement needed to be addressed, and they were not items that could be put off or fixed overnight. She says officials above her have told her it would reopen after the beginning of the year, but no date was given. Speculation about its reopening began when its Facebook page listed is as permanently closed and the store was removed from the locator map on Pizza Hut’s website. Coker says employees of Osawatomie Pizza Hut were offered temporary positions at other Pizza Hut locations until the Osawatomie restaurant could reopen and she hopes they return when the business is back up and running.
