The Miami County Sheriff’s Office was busy this past weekend. It all started Friday when multiple suspects were seen entering a building at 323rd and Stanton Road. One suspect was taken into custody. Later in the day, another suspect was captured during a traffic stop. The third was found and taken into custody late Friday night.

Sunday, the Miami County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted in a pursuit coming in from Cass County. The vehicle wrecked and one suspect was arrested, but the other fled on foot. He was captured late Sunday night.

Also on Sunday, deputies were on the way to take a report on a stolen vehicle when that vehicle passed a deputy. Due to the dense fog, they were not able to find the vehicle, but the Kansas Highway Patrol reported a car off the road on 169 and K-68. It was the stolen vehicle. The Kansas Highway Patrol, Louisburg Police and Paola Police coordinated with a K-9 unit to locate both suspects. A gold 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 and a white 2004 GMC pickup with a black Hydra-Bed and feeder have also been reported stolen and could be associated with the incident.
