Ottawa certainly has grown in 2019 and that growth is being spurred on into the next year. We had 5 new retail businesses open on Main Street since June, including the Farmhouse Boutique, the Gold Mercantile, the Pit Pit, Sunday Morning Boutique and the Corner Cafe. There were also new businesses in south Ottawa; Custom Dental, Fusion Alley, Club Car Wash, Home Base Remodel, and the Holiday Inn Express will be open in 2020. With the development and completion of Legacy Square in downtown Ottawa, new and exciting events will be held, including the Rhythm and Ride event in April and other activities all brought together by a booming town. The City Commission, the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce, and City Hall staff all encourage you to go out this year and support all businesses in Ottawa. There is more to come, we’ll see what the new year brings us.
