Last year was a busy year for the Ottawa Public Works Department. Crews spent a lot of hours on the roads, clearing them from ice and snow and maintaining them by filling thousands of potholes, repairing streets, cleaning up after storms and flooding and much more. Public Works Director Michael Haeffle says they do have one big project on tap for the new year.
He adds that the majority of the year will be spent taking care of general maintenance that was pushed aside last year due to weather issues.
