The Ottawa City Commission will hold a study session this afternoon. There are several topics on the agenda, including three proclamations. One proclaiming January 20th as Martin Luther King Day, another for January 25th as Kansas Day and a third recognizing January as Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Other items on the agenda include a change in zoning regulations in public use districts, as far as where food trucks can and can not set up. There will also be talk of a memo understanding between the city and Kansas Parks and Recreation to use land along the trail East of 15th for parking at the teen park.

The governing body will also recognize and appoint a new mayor and a new mayor pro tem. The study session will take place at 4 this afternoon at City Hall. You are always welcome to attend.
