Anderson County is in need of people within the community to be part of various committees and advisory boards. Right now there are openings on the Garnett Industrial Airport Advisory Committee, the Garnett Tourism Advisory Committee and the Garnett Community Foundation. The Community Foundation is a five member board that meets every first Tuesday of the month. Members serve a three year term. As a member of this board you would actively seek tax deductible donations for any City function or facility that adds to the quality of life in Garnett, including the Garnett Recreation Center, Sports Complex, recreation programs, the Garnett Public Library, North Lake Park, the Santa Fe Depot, the downtown area and a variety of other areas that make life better for the people living here.
