Ottawa University is right in the middle of their Capital Campaign, raising money for new projects to improve the campus. Phase one was to redo the football field and press box, and phase two involves renovating the Mabee Center and building a new state of the art athletic performance center. Campus President Dr. Reggies Wenyika says they were able to get a $730,000 challenge grant.
The re-turfing of the baseball and softball fields and construction of a new turf practice field is also underway in the Peters Sports Complex. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of the month.
