Paola has a new City Manager. Mayor Artie Stuteville has announced the hiring of Sid Fleming as the next City Manager. He will take the place of 12 year Manager Jay Weiland who is retiring. Fleming is now the City Manager in Iola but will be on the job in Paola on or before March 16th. Fleming says he is looking forward to coming to Paola and working with the community and building relationships with the people.
Weland’s last day on the job was last Friday. Assistant City Manager Randi Shannon will fill in as Interim Manager until Fleming takes over.
