A fire early Friday morning in the 3700 block of K-68 highway filled the house with smoke.  At 6 that morning, 72 year old Richard Conti reported that his wood stove chimney caught fire.  First responders to the scene reported heavy smoke coming from the residence.  Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly.  Richards wife, Toni Conti, was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and released shortly after.  Damage was limited to the chimney pipe and the ceiling; however, smoke damage was throughout the house.  The cause of the fire was determined to be exclusively from the wood stove chimney.
