Officials in Kansas City have announced that tomorrows parade to honor the Chiefs Super Bowl victory will go on regardless of the weather conditions. The parade will start at 11:30 and begin at 6th and Grand and continue down Grand to Union Station where team members will have the opportunity to speak at a huge rally. Kansas City Police want people to know they need to plan ahead. The police suggest car pooling and expect to walk quite a ways. Many streets will be closed along the route, so expect traffic delays. The Kansas City Street car will not be running at noon tomorrow, however, Ride KC bus service will be free, but with limited service. There will be Park and Ride Shuttles available from many locations.
Officials say cell phone service may be limited due to so many people in one location and dress warm because it will be cold. No alcohol, backpacks, or other large bags will be allowed. Most of all, come and have fun because it is a day of celebration! Details of the parade, including parking, street closures and park and ride locations are posted on KOFO’s Facebook page.
