The United States Senate put an end to the impeachment of President Trump yesterday afternoon, by voting to acquit the President on two Articles of Impeachment.  The Senate voted 52 to 48 to acquit on the First Article, Abuse of Power.  They then voted to acquit on the Second Article, 53 to 47, Obstruction of Congress.  Utah Senator Mitt Romney was the only Republican to vote to convict and remove Trump on both articles.

Kansas Senator Jerry Moran says the Framers intended impeachment and removal to be reserved for extreme and rare situations and the alleged facts contained in their articles and presented by the Impeachment Managers did not rise to that level.
