You may, or may not, know this, but the town of Ottawa was named after the Ottawa Indian Tribe and the Ottawa Tribe was the feature of this year’s Cultural Breakfast at Ottawa Memorial Auditorium. Dakota Bunch is a member of the Tribe and attends Ottawa University. She says her tribe was originally from another area:
Bunch is attending Ottawa University on the Ottawa Tribal Student Scholarship and is a 9th generation descendant of the Great War Chief Pontiac.
