An audience of about 120 people got a quick course in the Ottawa Indian culture during a cultural breakfast and program at Ottawa Memorial Auditorium. Dakota Bunch is a senior at Ottawa University and is a member of the Ottawa Tribe of Oklahoma. She says the town has been a champion of her tribe.
Bunch and several of her friends and family put on a display of several traditional Indian dances as part of the program. She is attending Ottawa University on the Ottawa Tribal Student scholarship and is a 9th generation descendant of the great war chief Pontiac.
