One in four Americans will experience some form of mental illness in their lives. Some people will be able to get through it with little help, others may need some form of treatment, and others will struggle throughout their lives with mental health issues. Knowing the signs and symptoms of a mental health issue is crucial in getting treatment and finding a cure. One big sign is suicidal thoughts. Elizabeth Layton Center Director Leslie Bjork says the suicide rate has risen dramatically in the United States, particularly in Kansas.
