Good news for the city of Quenemo. They submitted a video to HGTV’s Home Town Take Over and the producers have called to say they would like to use parts of Quenemo’s video in their media campaign for the show. According to the producers, the City would most likely be in the finals, since they were using their video. City Officials have signed a release for the show to use the video and for news crews to come to town for interviews. However, just because they asked permission to use parts of the video to promote the show, does not mean Quenemo has won, just that the video may be used to help promote the show.
HGTV has indicated they would pick finalist for the make over the first week of March. Hundreds of cities across America have applied for the contest, including surrounding towns of Osawatomie, Paola, Wellsville and Council Grove.
