A little snow storm was not going to keep a Baldwin couple from going to Topeka yesterday. It was no ordinary trip. You see, Donna and Alan Gardner were headed to the Kansas Lottery Headquarters to pick up a little cash. Like over $500,000.00. They matched all five numbers in the Super Cash Ball Saturday night. Funny thing, they didn’t even know they had won until Tuesday night when Donna checked the numbers, she said fifteen times to be sure, and then called Alan to tell him. Of course, he thought she was kidding at first. What do you do with $528,417.00? They say they are going to put most in savings, do a few things around the house, give some to family and take a trip to Seattle. The winning ticket was a $5.00 quick pick and was sold at Kwik Shop in Baldwin. Congratulations Donna and Alan!
