An accident yesterday morning sent a Garnett woman to the hospital. Twenty nine year old Alyssa Harkins was north bound on 59 Highway about two miles north of Garnett when she lost control on the slushy highway and went into the west ditch, overturning and coming to rest on it’s top. Alyssa was taken to Anderson County Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries. Her two year old daughter, Cora Harkins, was also taken to the hospital, but fortunately did not suffer any injuries. She was well restrained in her car seat. No information was available about damage to the car. We are just thankful no one was seriously injured.
