Ottawa has always been a safe place to live. Of course we have our share of crime, like all cities, but in general, a pretty mellow place to call home. Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner has some good news about crime in Ottawa:
He adds that the statistics go back further than that. He attributes the reduction in the people heeding their advice about keeping cars and houses locked and reporting suspicious activity. Theft, burglary and vehicle theft are the three main contributors to crime in the city.
