The Ottawa City Commission will hold it’s regular meeting this morning at Ottawa City Hall. One item on the agenda is a resolution appointing City Manager, Richard Nienstedt, to the Land Bank of Ottawa. Land Banks are a bit unusual. Nienstedt gives an explanation:
Land Banks help to eliminate blight, enhance the neighborhood vitality and stability, and creates opportunities for affordable and mixed income home ownership and rental, and maintains property values throughout the city, as well as encouraging economic development.
KOFO will air the meeting live at 10:00 this morning.
