The Miami County Economic Climate Report is out, with final numbers for the end of 2019. The County’s unemployment rate ended 2019 on par with 2018 with the rate remaining low overall. For the month of December the average number of workers in the civilian labor force increased by more than 300 workers compared to the same month in 2018. Employment also increased with almost 400 additional people reporting employment during December of 2019. During the same time frame, the average number of unemployed people fell by 50. The year trend showed the annual average unemployment rate in 2019 declined from 2018 for all regions tracked.
