Franklin County is not doing its fair share in supporting the Meals on Wheels Program. That was the blunt message at the regular County Commission Meeting. County Administrator, Derek Brown, says the County is a leader, but on this issue, it’s leading in the wrong direction.
Brown’s discussion was with Executive Director of the Area Agency on Aging, Elizabeth Maxwell. The County Commission voted to give an extra $10,000 immediately and will likely contribute and extra $25, 000 for the 2021 fiscal year.
