The Ottawa Police Foundation has partnered with Mugshot Coffee and Corner Market in downtown Ottawa to begin a new “Coffee with a Cop ” program. Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner says the program will give a chance for the public to get to know the officers in town.
He adds that while there may not be an officer in the shops every day, he hopes people will see more officers out of the cars and in the community.
The new program will start with two “Coffee with a Cop” programs next week. The first will be Tuesday at Mugshot Coffee and the second Wednesday at the Corner Market, both from 8:00 to 9:00 in the morning.
