Some things are hard to talk about. Health Care Directives, Estate Planning, Funeral Arrangements, and “after we go…who gets the prized collection of…” A new series sponsored the the K-State Extension office called “Starting the Conversation” is designed to talk about these subjects. There are three kinds of Health Care Directives: Durable Power of Attorney, a Living Will, and a Prehospital DNR. Marais des Cygnes Extension Agent Cathy Goul talks about Durable Power of Attorney:
All three will be discussed at the first of the series being held tomorrow morning at the Osawatomie Library at 10:30. The series will continue the next four Wednesday mornings. Next week the discussion is about passing down family heirlooms.
