With Franklin County’s Community Partners Funding Presentations approaching soon, Prairie Paws Director, Melissa Reed, wanted to get a jump start on funding talks for the shelter. County Administrator, Derek Brown, says the concern is the Stray Program:
Reed would like the County Commission to pay approximately $46 thousand more to help cover the stray program. Even with that, the Shelter would need to raise another $46 thousand to cover the cost of picking up and caring for stray animals out in the county. Without the extra money, dropping the Stray Program could be an option
