Franklin County has 236 bridges across the county, many that are getting older and may need repair. County officials recently had those bridges inspected and county administrator Derek Brown says overall, they are in good shape.
It was revealed that there are 9 bridges that will need to be replaced eventually. Brown says the county has always been committed to bridge improvement and apply for funding for that improvement.
