The Linn County Early Childhood Advisory Council has announced it will fund the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Linn County. Dolly Parton Imagination Library will provide books for children ages birth to five thanks to Kansas Masonic Literacy Center and Kansas Health Foundation Grant.
La Cygne Librarian, Janet Reynolds says those wanting to register for the program should contact their library, Linn County Health Center, Parents As Teachers, Early Head Start, or their school district office.
Since launching in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has become the preeminent early childhood book gifting program in the world. The flagship program of the Dollywood Foundation has mailed well over 100 million free books all around the world. The Imagination Library mails more than 1.4 million high-quality, age appropriate books each month to registered children from birth to age five. Dolly envisioned creating a lifelong love of reading, inspiring them to dream.
