The Wellsville City Council has done something they haven’t done in a long time, at least for as long as anyone can remember. Recently they took action to fill a vacant seat left by the resignation of Kyle Laswell. Council member Chuck Rutledge started the action:
Patton has lived in Wellsville about 11 years and has long worked as an organizer for Wellsville Days. Mayor Bill Lytle says, in his memory, the City has had one or two female Mayors, but he couldn’t remember a regular female council member prior to Patton being selected.
