The Ottawa Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at Nagoya Restaurant in south Ottawa on Thursday afternoon. Fire Chief Tim Mathias has more on the fire.
Utilities crews from the city of Ottawa and Kansas Gas were on scene to turn off the power and gas supply to the building.
Fire crews and workers for the gas company were on scene for more than two hours working on clearing smoke from the building and to repair damage and reestablish gas services. Mathias says the cause of the fire has not been determined and is still under investigation. Nagoya was able to re-open Friday with no issues.
