The Ottawa Police Department will be conducting an exercise near the area of Lincoln Elementary School between 4:00 this afternoon and 8:00 tonight. Lincoln Elementary School Principal, Austin Entress, wants to emphasize to everyone that it is only a drill, and the training is not actually at the school:
There will be a large number of police vehicles and other equipment in the area, with emergency lights on. There will be signs posted in the area indicating that police training is in progress. All roads in the area will be open, however, the Ottawa Police ask that people not walk in the training area. If you have any questions, contact the Police Department.
