Twenty three new law enforcement officers graduated from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center on March 6th, and the Ottawa Police Department has a new officer in the class.  Officer Dakota Freeman graduated with the 263rd Basic Training class.  They began their training in November and will receive certificates of Course Completion from the training center and Kansas Law Enforcement Certification from the Kansas Commission on Peace Officers’ Standards and Training, which is the state’s Law Enforcement Licensing Authority.  The training course fulfills the State requirement for law enforcement training.  The center offers continuing education and specialized training to more that 10 thousand Kansas officers every year.  Also graduating  in the class was Timothy Hill from the Paola Department.
